Volunteering at Scouts is changing to help us reach more young people - Discover what this means

Youth Commissioners

We’re over the moon to announce our new District Youth Commissioners – yes, we will be having two!

Please join us in welcoming Megan Sayer and Ethan King who will be sharing the role. It’s such an important role, but also one which can be quite daunting to young people at this really busy time in their lives, so we hope that sharing it will make it more manageable – and fun too!

Meg is 19 years old and is a pharmacy technician in the Countess of Chester Hospital, Ethan is 20 and an aircraft fitter in Airbus. They both currently volunteer at 1st Overton Scout Group.

Can we ask that Leaders share the video above with parents and ask them to show it to Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers as these are who Ethan and Meg will be there for.

We wish them both the very best of luck in the role. From what I’ve seen already they will be amazing!

Youth Commissioners support volunteers to embed young people’s ideas and decisions into local Scouts.
